How do I create an account?
Creating an account is easy. Click the profile icon in the header or go to the Sign In / Sign Up page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a one-time code—no password required. Once verified, you can complete your profile with details like your name, phone number, and location.
Is the service free?
Yes. Browsing listings, creating an account, and contacting sellers are free. Posting an advertisement is free for the first month. After that, a monthly fee applies for each active listing.
Which countries are supported?
PaardPlaats is available globally, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, across Europe, North America, and many other countries.

Buying Horses

How do I contact a seller?
Open a horse listing and use the contact form to message the seller directly. If the seller has shared their phone or WhatsApp number, you can also contact them that way.
How do I find the right horse?
Use our advanced filters to search by breed, discipline, age, color, location, and more to find the perfect match.
Can I save horses for later?
Yes. Logged-in users can use the 'Favorite' button to save listings and view them later in their profile.
Are there transport options?
PaardPlaats does not provide transport. Some sellers may offer it, so please check with the seller directly.

Selling Horses

How do I create a listing?
Go to the Sell Horse page, fill in the required details about your horse, upload photos or videos, and add your contact information. Your listing will go live once submitted.
What kind of photos and videos should I upload?
Upload clear, high-quality photos of your horse from multiple angles (front, side, and action shots). Videos of your horse moving or under saddle are also recommended to increase buyer interest.
How long do listings stay active?
Listings remain active as long as you want. The first month is free, and after that, a monthly fee is required to keep your listing online.
Can I edit or remove my listing?
Yes. From your profile page, you can view, edit, or remove your active advertisements at any time.

Safety & Security

How are users verified?
All users verify their email address before logging in. Sellers must also verify their phone number before posting an advertisement. If they consent, their phone and WhatsApp number will be shown on the ad.
How can I report a problematic listing?
Click 'Report' on the listing or contact our support team with details. We review all reports carefully.
What are safe payment methods?
PaardPlaats does not handle payments between buyers and sellers. If you make a purchase, always use a secure method such as a bank transfer and keep proof of payment, even for cash transactions.
How is my privacy protected?
Your data is protected and only shared with others when you choose (e.g., if you show your phone number on an ad). We never sell your personal information. For more details, see our privacy policy.

How do I change my account details?
Log in and go to your profile page to update your information such as name, address, phone number, or profile picture.
What if I forget my password?
PaardPlaats uses a passwordless login system. Simply enter your email and we'll send you a one-time code to log in.
How can I delete my account?
To delete your account, please contact our customer support via the contact form. Our team will process your request.
How do I update my preferences?
In your profile dashboard, you can update personal preferences, saved searches, and notification settings.

Yes, logged-in users can leave reviews for sellers they've interacted with. Sellers can also reply to reviews from their profile.
