Limoncello is a beautiful gelding (1.68 cm) by the well-known Irish stallion Sans Frontieres (by Galileo). Thanks to these top bloodlines he has an enormous willingness to work, stamina and a sober, yet forward character. He is well-behaved to handle, social towards other horses and easy to load. Also going out alone is no problem for him; he is traffic-safe and enjoys rides in the forest or on the beach. Limoncello is a true allrounder who preferably likes to be active. He has been shown in dressage (B), show jumping (80/90 and on a few occasions 100 cm) and has experience with practice cross-country. He becomes very enthusiastic in the course, which makes him a delight for a rider who likes forward impulsion, but for this he does need a clear, confident and patient hand. A mild form of kissing spines has been found in Limoncello, which is why we no longer find him suitable for sport. He currently has no complaints from this, but this does demand an owner who understands that regular training (correct lunging), a good warm-up and care are necessary to keep him supple and pain-free. We are therefore looking for a rider who wants to work with him pleasantly recreationally and does not have dressage as the main goal. He could also be kept nicely as a pasture mate. Or perhaps, given his willingness to work, he is suitable for a driving cart. However, we have not tried this. We are looking for a 5-star home for Limoncello with an involved and loving rider.
